William “Buster” Vest, 73, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born to the late William Cecil Vest and Hattie Butts Vest in Louisville, Kentucky on March 5, 1949. Buster grew up on a dairy farm in Shelbyville and loved being a country boy. He was a hard worker, always looking for the next house project to work on or the next transmission to be built. Buster absolutely loved his UK basketball, all cars (but classic cars most of all), and all of his amazing grandchildren. He was a hard headed man who knew what he liked and was steady in his ways, and if you ever needed any help he was always the first one there to lend a hand. Buster never did enjoy sitting still, so whether it was work or travel, he was always on the go. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Buster is preceded in death by his parents, William Cecil and Hattie Vest; his brothers, Charles Ray and Kenneth; his sisters, Lilian, Ruth, Mary, and Joyce; his daughter-in-law, Dana; and several dear friends and loved ones.
Left to cherish his memory, Buster leaves behind his sons, Corey and Ben (Tiffany); his daughters, Tonya (Doug) and Angie (Jamie), his sisters, Wanda and Nancy, his grandchildren, Dalton, Dakota, Katie, Jeremy, Kendall, Jersey, and Makenna; his great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Breelynn, Onyx, Scarlet, and Harper; his loving ex-wives, Marvis and Betty; and a host of extended friends and family.
A funeral service for Mr. William “Buster” Vest will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Boulevard Louisville, Kentucky 40215. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior the service.
