Wanda “Gail” Copley, age 65, passed away on December 12, 2025, after a long fought battle with cancer. She faced her illness with remarkable strength, resilience, and the same spirited heart that so beautifully defined her life.
Gail was truly the life of every gathering. She never hesitated to spark a laugh, strike up a playful exchange, or break into song or dance without warning. Her joy was contagious, and the memories she created were shared most dearly with her beloved daughters and grandsons, who were the center of her world.
Above all else, Gail will be remembered as a loving and devoted Mom, Grandma, and Sister. Her love was generous, her presence unforgettable, and her laughter a gift to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Johnson (Thomas), Denise Walker (Chad), Crystal Copley, and Tori Lawless (Keon); her grandsons, Lil' Richard, Michael, Brandon, Marqus, Jagger, and Storm; seven great grandchildren; her siblings, Vickie Renfrow and Bruce Bratcher (Lorie); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lealon Jewell and Eva Lillian Bratcher, and her brothers, Ricky, Donnie, Randy, and Mark Bratcher.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Legacy Funeral Center, Schoppenhorst Chapel, located at 1832 West Market Street. Funeral services will be celebrated at the conclusion of visiting hours at the funeral home. The family will honor Gail’s wish for cremation following the service. A private burial of her ashes will occur at Zion’s Harmony Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky.
Gail’s legacy lives on in the laughter she inspired, the love she gave so freely, and the cherished memories held close by those who were blessed to call her family and friend.
