Wanda Fay Robinson Montanez

Wanda Fay Robinson Montanez, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Owensboro, Kentucky, Wanda was the cherished daughter of the late Hubert Robinson Sr. and Anna Louise Harris.

A devoted mother, Nanny, sister, and friend, Wanda lived a life centered on faith, family, and service. She was a faithful member of Gilt Edge Baptist Church, where she found great strength, joy, and community throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Montanez; daughter, Pamela Robinson; father, Hubert Robinson, Sr. (Peggy Sue); mother, Anna Young (James); and sister, Gwen Robinson.

Wanda's legacy lives on in the hearts of her loving children: Barbara Robinson-Readus, Holly Goodman (Kenny), Maurice Robinson, and Stephanie Robinson; her treasured grandchildren: DeMorris Jenkins, Natasha Davey, Trea Burgess, Dion Robinson, Ebonique Burgess, Brittany McGoffney, Calvin Cain, Iesha Robinson, Courtney Patterson, Alonzo Robinson, Clifton Sanders, Andres Sanders, Malachi Morris, Arjan Wilkerson, and Aiden Shannon; her dear brother, Hubert Robinson, Jr. (Davita); 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Gilt Edge Baptist Church, 1713 D.L. Motley Way, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. A celebration of Wanda’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with entombment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street – Jeffersonville, has been entrusted with arrangements.
