Viola Anderson Hale

Viola Anderson Hale, 74, was born on March 29, 1951, in Grenada, Mississippi to the late W.L. Hale and Minnie Mae Anderson Hale. She peacefully departed this life on February 12, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Viola was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children: Cedric Hale (Tammy), Reginald Johnson, Rhonda Hale, Tracee Hale, and Nikki Hale. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Aaron Hale, Tra’Miah Whaley, TraQuan Hobbs, Tionna Hale, Terrah Hale-Hobbs, Traonna Hale, Beioncca Hale, Kimoria Hale-Smith, A’Niah Hale-Gray, Aiden Hale-Gray, Neshawn Johnson, Elgin Hale, and Shaila Hale. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Syhir Hobbs and Kai’Jzon Page.

Viola is further survived by her loving siblings, Rosie Hale Wilson and Earnest Hale; her dear Aunt Ella Mae Powell; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents.

A faithful woman of God, Viola attended NewZion Baptist Church in Louisville. She found great joy in reading her Bible and was an avid reader who enjoyed books and newspapers of all kinds. Viola also loved shopping, spending time with her family, and watching her favorite soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless, which she rarely missed. Her warm spirit, wisdom, and love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Legacy Funeral Center - Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Boulevard. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately afterward at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, Valley Station, Kentucky 40272.

Viola’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will live on for generations to come. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
