Torie Darnice Myers

Torie Darnice Myers, 48, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on July 8, 1974 to Allen Myers Jr. and Dorothy Boyd Meyers, in Louisville, Kentucky. Torie was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She loved to work and take and take care of her children and grandchildren. Torie found the Lord at an early age under the guidance of her great grandfather, and attended church every Sunday. She was always smiling, and never went anywhere without her little shadow, Galiyah. Whether it was her first Biker’s Club, Naptown Ryders, or her most recent club, No Hater’s Bike Club, Torie was also crazy about her motorcycle family too. In her spare time, Torie could be found cheering on her Louisville Cardinals and listening to her favorite music, such as old school R&B and Quiet Storm. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Torie is preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Mary Brown, and Whit and Sara Boyd.

Left to cherish her memory, Torie leaves behind 2 children, Kendrick Toogood, and Galiyah Myers; 2 grandchildren, Keion Toogood, and Kamalyi Toogood; parents, Allen Myers Jr. and Dorothy Boyd Myers; 2 siblings, Allen Wiley, and Keiasha Wiley; nephew, Isaiah; and a host of extended family and close friends.

A funeral service for Ms. Torie Myers will be at 1 PM on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 Anderson Street, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, at the church, prior to the service. Burial at Green Meadows Cemetery will follow the funeral service.
