Timothy "Tim" Scott Berryman, 49, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, leaving behind a family, circle of friends, and community whose lives were forever enriched by his kindness, humor, and unwavering heart. Born on August 1, 1976, Tim lived a life defined not by material things, but by the love he freely gave to others.

The world grew a little darker the day Tim passed away. Yet the light he brought into the lives of so many will continue to shine through the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the lives he touched.

Music was Tim's therapy and his refuge. Whether strumming his guitar or simply getting lost in a favorite song, music gave voice to what words often could not. He had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, even on their hardest days, and his quick wit and infectious smile could brighten any room.

Tim was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else. Even during his own struggles, he always placed the needs of others before his own. His compassion, generosity, and selfless spirit were constants throughout his life.

One of Tim's greatest accomplishments was his commitment to recovery. He was incredibly proud of achieving 24 months of sobriety and graduating from the Seacat Program. His journey was one of courage, determination, and hope, and he inspired many through his perseverance and strength. Tim was proud to have found the Lord and was baptized on September 6, 2024.

Tim is survived by his loving brother, James "Derek" Berryman; his aunt, Carol James; his lifelong best friend, Aaron Gilmore, and his beloved cat, Mr. Scurry; and numerous cousins and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Butch and June Berryman.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sharon, Kerry, Kristi, and Kasey for the love, encouragement, and unwavering support they showed Tim. Your kindness meant more than words can express.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tim's life during visitation on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home – Scott Chapel, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana. A funeral service honoring Tim's life will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
