Timothy James Kinser, age 65, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on July 20, 2025. He was born on July 26, 1959, in New Salisbury, Indiana, to the late Bert Kinser and Flossie Setser.
A proud veteran, Tim retired from the U.S. Army where he worked as a weapons manufacturer. He lived a life rooted in quiet strength, with a deeply personal and private relationship with God.
Tim had a wide range of interests that reflected his thoughtful and creative spirit. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing chess and building intricate models of cars, rockets, and other designs. He had a lifelong love of music—classic rock being his favorite—and was an avid fan of sports, cheering on the Boston Celtics, Minnesota Vikings, and Atlanta Braves. He also loved the simple comforts of home, where he could be found building rockets or spending time with his beloved pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his cherished cat, Mickey.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly L. Kinser; his daughter, Sarah Cihonski; his son, Evan Kinser; his sisters, Patricia “Tishie” Denise Tripure (Bill) and Connie Gail Wright (Bruce); two nieces, a nephew, and his loyal cat, George.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 12:00 noon until the time of service at Legacy Scott Funeral Home, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, IN. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m., with cremation to follow.
Tim will be remembered with love for his quiet presence, creative mind, and steadfast devotion to those closest to him.
