Timmy Jay Barton

Timmy Barton, age 64, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, and love.

Timmy was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. An avid fisherman, he treasured time spent on the water, where he could enjoy the peace of nature and the thrill of a good catch. Whether casting a line at sunrise or sharing fishing stories with friends and family, those moments brought him great happiness.

He was also known by many for his remarkable talent in the kitchen. Timmy's culinary creations brought people together and filled countless gatherings with warmth and comfort. Family and friends will fondly remember his famous barbecue chicken, refreshing summer salad, biscuits and gravy, and beloved hobo potatoes, dishes that became staples at family meals and celebrations. For Timmy, cooking was more than a hobby; it was an expression of love that he generously shared with everyone around him.

Above all, Timmy cherished his family. He is survived by his son, Kristofer Bedan; daughter, Kelsea Bedan; sisters, Jackie Bryant, Luanne Coomer (David), Cindy Bishop, and Jamie Johnson (Allen); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

Timmy's family has honored his wish for cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.

A memorial visitation celebrating Timmy's life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
