Theresa (Melson) Crum

Theresa Melson Crum, 62, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on July 7, 1959, to the late James C. and Regina Melson in Louisville, Kentucky. Theresa loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed babysitting and being the best Aunt she could be. Theresa was real. Once she spoke her mind, she stood by it. She lived without a filter and had a heart of gold with the mouth of a sailor. Her family called her a “Momma’s Baby” but knew she could become the Tasmanian Devil at any point. In her spare time, Theresa was a diehard UofL Cardinals fan and loved taking care of her fur babies, Star and Ruger, whom she loved with all her heart. Theresa had many, many babies, you know who you are. She cared for all of you. Theresa will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by 2 nephews, Scotty Gilbert and Wayne Price.

Left to cherish her memory, Theresa leaves behind a brother, Danny Melson; 5 sisters, Patricia Collins (Mac), Joe Price Lindsey, Elizabeth “Lynn” Montgomery, Charlotte Numann (Bernie), and Sherry McBride (Brad); 2 fur babies, Star and Ruger; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A visitation for Mrs. Theresa Melson Crum will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 11 AM to 8 PM at Legacy Funeral Center-Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 12 PM, at the funeral home.
