Terry Emerson

Terry Wayne Emerson, 67, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on September 25, 2024. He was born on
January 27, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Terry married Paula Sue Wrighthouse on September 26, 1981, and they shared 43 wonderful years
together. A master of his craft, Terry often referred to himself as "the greatest drywall finisher alive." He
worked over 50 years for JJ Drywall and Ronnie and Wade Ables Drywalling. His pride in his work was
matched by his passion for sports—he was a devoted fan of the University of Louisville Cardinals football
and basketball teams and a loyal supporter of the Minnesota Vikings.
An avid deer hunter, Terry also found joy and strength in his faith. As a member of the Pentecostals of
Louisville, his booming "Hallelujah" was a sound familiar to all in the congregation, a true expression of
his love for the church.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Clemon E. Emerson and Lillian England Emerson, a
daughter, Donna Emerson, and two brothers, Donnie Emerson and David Emerson. He is survived by his
loving wife, Paula, his son, Randy Emerson, and his extra son, Robert Hackney. He also leaves behind
three grandchildren, Candice Reynolds, Shane Reynolds and Savanna Reynolds, the latter of whom was
an excellent caregiver to him, and his great-grandchild, Nevaeh Thomas.
Terry is also survived by his brothers, Robert Emerson (Sandy) and Tony Emerson (Jackie), as well as his
special friends, Robert Wilson, David Wooten, Tim Simpson, and Rick Wrighthouse.
Terry will be remembered for his humor, his love for his family, and his devotion to his faith and
community. His voice may be silent, but the memory of his joyful "Hallelujah" will echo in the hearts of
all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Pentecostals of Louisville Church,
4701 Manslick Road, Louisville, KY 40219. Visitation will be from 11 am until time of the service at the
church on Saturday. Cremation to follow.
