Teala T. Trent

Teala T. Trent, age 77, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Teala was born on November 29, 1947, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of William and Frances Naomi Robinson-Alford. She spent her career as a lab assistant in the field of Optometry, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Teala also worked in her later years at Colgate Baptist Church Daycare and was a wonderful caregiver to the children.

A woman of Christian faith, Teala lived her life with kindness, generosity, and a spirited love for her family and friends. She had a creative soul, enjoying crafting and spending weekends at flea markets and yard sales in search of hidden treasures.

One of Teala's greatest joys was cheering on her grandchildren in their sporting events; she was their biggest and proudest fan. Her happiest moments were those spent in the company of her family, sharing laughter, love, and memories that will be cherished forever.

In addition to her parents, Teala was preceded in death by her sister, Torchye Parsley; in-laws, Timmy Trent, Carl W. Trent, Erie Dee Trent, Erie Dee Trent.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary W. Trent; daughter, Bobbi Jo Rainwater(Dave Jr.), sisters, Teena Halbig(Eddie), Toni Rake; grandchildren, Corey Finch, Cameron Finch; great grandchildren; Laiklynn Finch, Maverick Early; nephew, Jimmy Parsley(Debbie); nieces, Faith Young(Mike), Jane Whobrey(David), Denise McLaughlin(Jim), Angie Chandler(Kris); many great nieces and nephews; in-laws, Marylin Donn, Joyce Emery, Carletta & Randy Richardson, John Trent, Kevin Trent.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 1-4pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St., Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
