Susan K Reiss

Susan K. Reiss, age 98, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. She was born on
May 7, 1926, to the late Charles Buckler and Mary Joe Warren Buckler. Susan was a beloved
wife, homemaker, and a devoted caregiver to her mother and aunt for many years. She was a
long-time associate of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph and a cherished member of
Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, Louis V. Reiss, whom she
married on October 11, 1947, as well as her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children: John C. Reiss (Debbie), Suzanne Reiss, and Mary Jo Reiss; her
sister, Cecilia Thompson; and a multitude of nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her
dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Our Mother
of Sorrows Catholic Church, 747 Harrison Ave., Louisville, KY 40217, with burial to follow at
St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2025,
at Legacy Nunnelley Chapel Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, KY 40215.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Hosparus of Louisville or the
Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph, Owensboro, KY.
