Steven Thomas Knowles Sr., 60, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on April 16, 1964, to the late Chester and Marcella Knowles in Tampa, Florida, Steven was a loving father and brother who touched many lives with his kindness and generosity.

Steven had a knack for helping others and was always ready to lend a hand. Whether it was fixing bicycles for the neighborhood kids or repairing lawn mowers for his neighbors, he found joy in making life a little easier for those around him. His selflessness and dedication to his community were evident in every act of kindness.

In his leisure time, Steven found peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing at Taylorsville Lake, where he often spent hours enjoying the tranquility of nature. A fan of classic Westerns, he could often be found watching his favorite John Wayne movies, finding inspiration and entertainment in their timeless stories. Above all, Steven cherished moments spent on the porch with his family, creating memories filled with love and laughter.

Steven's warm heart and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and community service that will be remembered for years to come.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Chester T. and Marcella Knowles Sr.; and a daughter, April Knowles.

Left to cherish his memory, Steven is survived by 2 sons, Dillen Knowles, and Steven T. Knowles Jr.; multiple grandchildren; 3 sisters, Brenda, Barbara, and Joyce; brother, Danny K Knowles; niece, Haley Knowles; and a host of extended family and close friends.
