Stephen Lee Allen Obituary
Stephen Lee Allen, 68, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 21, 1957, to Schuyler Dean Allen and Ilene G. (Rayphole) Allen.
On January 9, 1982, Steve married the love of his life and lifelong partner, Carol Sue Curtis Allen. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those they loved.
Steve attended Covington Community Schools before beginning his career at the family business, Allen’s Pontiac & Olds, where he developed the strong work ethic that defined his life. He later continued his career at Yamaha of Louisville, where he remained a dedicated employee until his retirement.
Steve enjoyed spending his free time riding his motorcycle with friends, hunting, fishing, and, in his younger years, roller skating. Whether he was enjoying the outdoors or spending time with his family, Steve’s kind heart, quiet strength, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Steve will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, loyal friend, and a man whose greatest joy was his family. His legacy lives on through the love he shared and the countless memories his family and friends will forever cherish.
Steve is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Allen; his four children, Cory (Jenn) Allen of Champaign, Illinois; Joshua (Kim) Allen of Louisville, Kentucky; Seth (Natthitha) Allen of Louisville, Kentucky; and Rachel Macayla Allen of Jeffersonville, Indiana. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Michelle, Brody, Trever, Alyssa, Isaac, Gemmalynn, and Atticus.
He also leaves behind his sisters, Carolyn Gore of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Nancy Greiner of Crown Point, Indiana. Steve shared a special bond with his in-laws, Jim and Dee Jordan, Richard and Sandy Curry, Phil and Karen Curtis, and Gregg and Tammy Dennis, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Schuyler Dean Allen and Ilene G. (Rayphole) Allen, and his brother, Phil “Bud” Allen.
Steve’s greatest legacy was the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his kindness, strength, and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
