Sheila Monica (Knight) Chambers

Sheila Monica Chambers, 53, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on August 22, 1969, to the late Ivey and Mary Knight in Louisville, Kentucky. Sheila was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved her family deeply, and enjoyed all the time they spent together at birthday parties and just hanging out. Sheila was an employee at the McDonald’s on S. 3rd Street for 20+ years. She was very humble, and never looked down on anyone. Sheila had the gift of gab, and never met a stranger. She was a little set in her ways, but always had a good sense of humor, and was the best big sister anyone could ask for. Sheila also had a love for anything fury, but especially loved her cats. In her spare time, she enjoyed being a home body and watching TV with Zach, collecting Angels, and listening to music on her phone. Sheila will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Ivey David Knight and Mary Frances Thomas Knight, Sheila is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Rosaline Knight.

Left to cherish her memory, Sheila leaves behind her loving husband of 31 years, Zach Chambers; 2 children, Joe Chambers, and Nina Fudge (Chris); 6 siblings, Anthony Knight, Melissa Knight, Michelle Knight, Wendy Knight Jones, Eric Knight, and Esther “Naomi” Knight Snow; 2 grandchildren, Ezra Fudge, and Damon Fudge; brother-in-law, Chris Chambers; aunt, Linda Thompson (Roger); cousin, Bonnie Thompson; and a host of extended family and close friends.

A funeral service for Mrs. Sheila Chambers will be held at 12 PM, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 12 PM to 8 PM, and prior to the service from 10 AM to 12 PM, at the funeral home. Burial at Pennsylvania Run Cemetery will follow the funeral service.
