Saundria Kaye (Hall) Duvall

Saundria "Kaye" Duvall, known fondly as "Granny" to many, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024. Born in Middlesboro, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Colleen Hall.

Kaye's life was a symphony of love, laughter, and cherished moments. She had a passion for music and art, with a particular affection for the melodies of the Bee Gees and the harmonies of the Beatles. Her soul found solace and joy in the beauty of these creative expressions.

But it was in her kitchen where Kaye truly cared for others. With skillful hands and a heart brimming with love, she delighted her family with an array of delectable dishes. Among them, her strawberry cheesecake pie stood as a testament to her culinary skills, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to taste it.

As a young woman, Kaye found joy in life's simple pleasures – from pampering sessions at the salon to the thrill of discovering the perfect piece of jewelry. Her zest for life was infectious, and her vibrant spirit illuminated every room she entered.

Above all else, Kaye will be remembered as a devoted mother, Granny, sister, and surrogate mom to many. Her unwavering love and boundless generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unconditional love that will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Edward Duvall, Jr. (Shannon Chrystelle) and brother, William Edward Hall.

Survivors include her grandchildren, James Dylan Duvall (Abby), Christopher Tyler Johnson, Josie Renae Duvall, Jaymee Lynn Duvall, and Savannah Nicole Duvall; siblings, Larry Wayne Hall, Sheila Volynn Rudolph, and Ada Burba; great-grandson, Nash Ruzanka nieces/nephews, Misty G. Patterson, Ambra Johnson, Levi Burba (Stephanie), Rachel Whitworth, Christopher Hall (Shannon), and Brett Hall (Nicki); great-nieces/nephews, Samantha Hall, Alex Bonza, Carter Partee, Kerrington Partee, Owen W. Johnson, Remi Burba, and Landry Burba; and a host of extended family and close friends..

Visitation will be held 12 – 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Boulevard. Funeral services in honor of her life will be celebrated 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the funeral home.
