Sandra Kay Paxton

Sandra Kay Paxton, 72, of Charlestown, Indiana passed away on August 17, 2024 at her home. She was born on September 20, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky ; daughter of John and Louise Greenwell.

Sandra dedicated many years of her career as a manager at Dr. Bizer’s Visionworld, where she was known for her professionalism, kindness, and commitment to providing exceptional care to her patients.

Outside of work, Sandra found joy in the art of sewing and knitting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her patience and creativity. Sandra’s love for her family was cherished most of all and she will be remembered for her warmth, generosity and dedication.

In addition to her parents Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Paxton. She is survived by her sons; Jeremy and Frankie Paxton; brother, Mike Greenwell; along with 5 grandchildren, Lauren, Katelynn, Tyler, Gavin, Indred Paxton; 2 great grandchildren, Kinsley and Oliver along with her faithful companion, Ginger.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 11-1pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
