Roy Michael Hunter, 71, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on October 8, 2023 at Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 10, 1952 in New Albany, Indiana, son of Roy & Eloise Hunter. Roy worked in retail automotive and was a dedicated worker. He was a member of Colgate Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, dog races, family time and was an avid rescuer of greyhound dogs. Roy had a deep passion for these gentle creatures, providing them a second chance at a happy life.

In addition to his parents Roy was preceded in death by his half sister, Sherry Hunter. He is survived by his loving wife , Mary “Michelle” Hunter; son, Trevin Hunter; step son, Christopher Clark; step granddaughter, Christina; twin sisters, Brenda Hunter & Linda Cordy; two nephews, Quentin Cordy and Preston Cordy; great nephew, Austin Cordy along with many cousins.

Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
