Roy Allen McClanahan

Roy Allen McClanahan, age 62, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024. He was born in Lexington, KY on June 5, 1962.

In addition to spending time with his family, Roy enjoyed playing Xbox and video games, VR, street and racecars, and playing guitar and drums.  He worked for Storage Express for 16 years and was a veteran of the United States Navy. In whatever he did, Roy was always able to find enjoyment in life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roy W. McClanahan and brother, Ricky Wooten.

Roy is survived by his mother, Ramona Wooten; his sons, Brandon and Christopher McClanahan; daughter, Rebecka Hartman (Hunter); his grandchildren, Zoey and Violet McClanahan, Alex Hartman, Liam and Soren McClanahan, and Charles and Lily Hartman; his siblings, James Wooten, Donna Burus and Pat McCauley; and his sister-in-law, Jenny Wooten, who was married to Ricky prior to his passing.

His visitation will be at Legacy Funeral Home, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville on Thursday, January 9 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm, with a short memorial service beginning at 6:00.
