Ronald G. Crawford, 79, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on February 25, 1942 to the late John and Doris Crawford. Ron was a longtime Respiratory Therapist for Jewish Hospital and a man who loved his family more than anything. He had the biggest heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back. In his younger days, Ron loved his leather jackets and slicked back hair. He was always the life of the party and enjoyed dancing. Ron also enjoyed fishing with his twin brother, Bobby and even swam across the Ohio River once. Ron loved working on cars and was an avid UK fan who tolerated UofL, unless they were playing each other. In his spare time, Ron could be found shopping at the Dollar Store looking for something sweet to snack on, or watching some of his favorite shows like Gun Smoke, Me TV, and World's Funniest Animals. He also enjoyed watching the news, especially the weather and national news. He often joked he was a meteorologist in a previous life. Ron will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, John and Doris Crawford, Ron is preceded in death by four siblings, Margie, Nancy, Jimmy, and twin brother, Bobby.
Left to cherish his memory, Ron leaves behind his longtime companion, Maryetta; 3 children, Todd (Shelly), Laura (Bert), and Melissa (Brad); 2 siblings, Nelly and John; step son, Michael; 7 grandchildren, Lee, Garrett, Kinsey, Cody, Caleb, Ainsley, and Jacob; 4 great grandchildren, Kayden, Addy, Bella, and Jordan; former wife, Linda; and a host of extended family and friends.
At the family’s request, all services are private.
