Rona Jean Bruce Obituary
Rona Jean Bruce, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love on May 14, 2026. She was born on April 20, 1964, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Stanton Buckler and Virginia Glass.
Rona was a hardworking and caring woman who took great pride in owning and operating her cleaning business. Through her work, she built strong, lasting friendships and earned the respect of many for her dedication, strong work ethic, and generous spirit.
Rona was anything but conventional. She had a magnetic personality, and if you knew her, you knew there was never a dull moment. To know her was to love her. She brought laughter, energy, and unforgettable memories everywhere she went, and being around her always meant you were in for a good time.
She also found joy in life's simple pleasures floating in the water, gambling, and making the most of every moment. More than anything, Rona loved fiercely and lived life fully and unapologetically.
She is survived by her longtime partner, Steve Johnson; her loving daughter, Amanda (Damion); her cherished grandchildren, Austin (Heather) and Dalton; her sister, Jackie (Bruce); her brother, Tommy; along with many extended and adopted family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
Rona's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
In honoring Rona's wishes, the family has chosen cremation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
