Roger Lee Wines

Roger Lee Wines, 75, passed away, Sunday, July 17, 2022. 

He was born June 4, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Glenn and Hazel Wines.

Roger was a retired surveyor for CRP and Associates. He was an outdoorsy person who enjoyed going fishing, hunting, and taking scenic drives in the country. Roger was a very giving person, he was happy to help anyone he could. But perhaps the most important role Roger played in his life was being a proud Pa Pa. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Roger will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Wines and Hazel Wines; and his sister, Alice Rayhill.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jeff Brooks (Tonna); daughter, Melissa; seven grandchildren, Keaton, Hunter, Kristian, Elijah, Aubree, William and Lilly; his life-long friend, Sandra Brooks; his nephew, Charlie; his nieces Karen and Georgia; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Roger Lee Wines will be held Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 12:00- 6:00 P.M. at Legacy Funeral Center-Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Boulevard, with funeral services starting immediately at 6:00 P.M. Burial will be private at Mount Holly Cemetery.
