Roger R. Meade, age 76, passed away on August 14, 2026, in Sellersburg, Indiana. He was born on March 17, 1950, in New Albany to the late Leonard "Jack" and Cordey Meade.
Roger was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who cherished his family dearly. He enjoyed fishing and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Roger treasured every moment with his family and had a special bond with his grandchildren! Each morning before they left for school, he made sure to tell them that he loved them.
Roger is survived by his four children: Regina Layman, Christy Meade, Roger Meade Jr., and Lance Meade; his grandchildren: Trinity Martin, Jacob Layman, Damien Smith, Kayla Meade, Joseph Meade, Samuel Meade, Elliott Meade, and Oliver Meade; his sisters; Conga (Rex) Wells and Elaine Meade; and the mother of his children, Jonell Meade.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard "Jack" and Cordey Meade; his sisters: Janet Meade and Anna Miller; and his brother, Martin Meade.
The family has chosen cremation, and no services are scheduled at this time.
