Robert “Bobby” Fambrough, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on January 28, 2026, in his hometown. He was born on November 22, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Bobby was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He married the love of his life, Brenda Maysey Fambrough, on December 21, 1974, and together they shared 51 wonderful years of marriage built on love, loyalty, and family.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Fambrough; his daughters, Lola Fambrough (Rob), Kaye Taylor (Tommy), and Mary Jackson (Shaun); and his beloved grandchildren, Austin, Day Day, Maleah, and Ali, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis, his sisters, Sandy Kay, Mary Rose, and Darlene, and his life-long friend, Junior Davis.
Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Allen Fambrough; his grandchild, Justin; and his brothers, Eddie, Dale, Jerry Ray, C.W., and Charlie.
An auto mechanic by trade, Bobby had a lifelong passion for working on cars. He enjoyed working with his hands, fixing, and helping others however he could. His hard work, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Center – Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 West Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40203. An additional visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
