Robert Michael Auter, Jr., age 37, passed away on April 8, 2025. Born on January 24, 1988, in Louisville, Kentucky, Robert was the beloved son of the late Robert Michael Auter, Sr. and Debra Gammons.
Robert worked as a city employee in Louisville and was known for his strong work ethic and his love of helping others. He had a passion for fishing, gambling, and working on his cherished 1981 Buick Regal. Robert was also known for his mischievous nature, often waking others with his unexpected arrivals. His love for his dog, Bitty, was undeniable, and he found comfort in the companionship of his furry friend.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his companion, Mallory Cox. He is survived by his three children: daughters Emily Auter and Ava Auter, and son Robert Auter, III. He also leaves behind his grandchild, Carmella Adams, sister Tonya Auter, brother Raymond Molthop, and grandmother Mary Brown. Robert is further survived by the mother of his children, Stephane White, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and his dog, Bitty.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Legacy Schoppenhorst Chapel Funeral Home, located at 1832 West Market Street, Louisville, KY 40215. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, with cremation to follow after the service.
Robert will be remembered for his infectious energy, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
