Rita Eleanor Lamsfuss Jacot born on November 14, 1939 in Mt. Vernon, NY. On May 15, 2024 it has pleased the almighty to call Rita out of this world of tears into His presence who, was baptized in the name of the Triune God, trusted in Christ, whose tears are gone and whose sorrows have been turned into joy.
Rita Eleanor Jocot was born to Otto Karl Lamsfuss and Martha Marie Uckermark Lamsfuss. She grew up in Mt. Vernon, New York and New Brunswick, New Jersey. She attended Niack Missionary College for nursing where she met a life long friend Mabel Peden and Future husband Ralph Jacot. Rita lived in Texas for a while and then settled in Kentucky, After retirement she moved to Indiana. Rita was active in nursing until her retirement.
Rita is proceeded in death by her sister Helene Grunden and brother-in-law Robert Grunden, parents Otto Lamsfuss and Martha Lamsfuss, husband Ralph Jacot, nephew Robert Grunden, niece Sharri Grunden, niece Karen Nourse, nephew in-law James Salters Jr., friend Mabel Peden, sister-in law Eleanor Lamsfuss, nephew Arthur Lamsfuss and brother Otto Lamsfuss. Rita is survived by brother Richard Lamsfuss, Sister-in-law Grace Lamsfuss, brother Frederick Lamsfuss and wife Kristen, niece Susan Saccente and husband Joseph, nephew Michael Lamsfuss and Kaori Tashiro, Nephew Joel Lamsfuss, nephew Erick Grunden and his wife Margo and Niece Kristina Sherman, nephew Carl Lamsfuss, niece Sandra Salters, niece Dawn Mayes and husband Toby. Great nieces and nephews and their families. Joseph and Kelsey Saccente and Vincent, Halie and Kristopher Rivero and Rowan and Elowyn, Katie and Gerard Harley, Elizabeth Nourse, Richard and Misty Nourse and Jesse and Jake, Claire Lamsfuss, Meghan/Morgan Lamsfuss, and James Salters III, Freya Grunden, Kassandra Sherman.
Friend and caregiver Joyce Lamaster. We pray that God will comfort her family and all those who mourn her death with the sure and certain hope of the resurrection of the dead. “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints,” (Psalm 116:15) Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord!
