Rickie Gene Cotton, 69, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on March 20, 1955, to Talbert Cotton and Mildred Gray Hall, Rickie was a cherished father, brother, son, fiancé, and friend. Rickie was a man of unwavering dedication and diligence. He found joy and purpose in his work, particularly his roles in security and at Sam's Club, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. Beyond his professional life, Rickie embraced the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He had a hearty appetite and took great pleasure in a good meal, especially after a day spent fishing, one of his beloved pastimes. He found excitement in playing bingo and pull tabs, and cherished moments spent on trips to Gatlinburg, surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.
Throughout his life, Rickie held a special fondness for the music of Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley, their songs serving as the soundtrack to many cherished memories. But above all, Rickie's greatest joy came from the relationships he nurtured. He was a pillar of support and love to his family and friends, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. Rickie Gene Cotton leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and laughter. Though he may no longer be with us, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
