Reverend Dennis "Rev" O. Middleton

Reverend Dennis “Rev” O. Middleton, 94, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on April 12, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 21, 1927 in Logan County, Kentucky son of the late Clarence Woodson and Tiny Mae (Williams).  He was the founder and pastor of the Full Gospel Mission Church, Louisville, Kentucky for 62 years.  He also worked at International Harvester retiring after 39 years. Dennis was a United States Navy Veteran and served in WWII. He was an Associate Minister for the Jessup Brothers in his early years and was ordained by of United Christian Church & Ministerial Association of Cleveland, Tennessee. He enjoyed boxing, weightlifting, Biblical Scholar and his weekly broadcasts (WXVW, WREY, WLOU, WFIA).  He was also an avid observer and recorder of the weather and loved spending time with his family.

Dennis was a preceded in death by his brothers; Jess hayden, Ernie, Estel, Jewel, Ray; sisters; Dorothy Bailey, Ruth Hale. He is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Pauline “Polly” Middleton; daughter, Debbie Schreiner(Andy); sons, Terry Middleton(Becky), Gregory Charles Middleton; brothers, Carl Middleton, Fred Middleton(Becky); 7 grandchildren, Yvette Middleton, Autumn Brown, Savannah Middleton, Madison Middleton, Kenneth “Ken” Schreiner II (Maria), Zachariah “Zack” Schreiner(Nina), Amy Jo McArthur; 13 great grandchildren, Levi McArthur, Riley McArthur, Robert Middleton, Daniel Grimes, Riyhlen Brown, McKenzi Middleton, Jacob Middleton, Jaxon Middleton, Aydelis Negron, Jasmine Schreiner, Dorian Schreiner, Milayna Schreiner, Aiden Curtsinger; along with 2 great-great grandchildren, Hailey Middleton and Hannah Grimes.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, April 19th 2022 from 3-8pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Service will be on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 12pm with more visitation before from 10am-12pm at Legacy Funeral Center. Burial to follow at Eastern Cemetery.
