Rena Mae Richie

Rena Mae Richie, 75, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on April 23, 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 5, 1948 in Boyle County, Kentucky daughter of Elmer and Margie (Pike) Baugh. Rena was a retired nurse assistant at Charlestown Schools who was a dedicated and caring worker.

She was a cherished member of Evangel Church, and found joy and peace in her faith. Known for her artistic talents, she delighted in painting and crafting her creations with warmth and beauty. Rena had a green thumb when it came to gardening and found great joy in her flowers.

Rena was a master chef in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking for her loving family, which brought her great happiness. Her legacy of creativity, kindness, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.

In addition to her parents Rena was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Richie. She is survived by her children, Lonnie Richie, Cindy Miller(John), Tawana Edwards(Mike) who is a life long gift of God; sisters, Anna Hall, Sarah “Sue” Shelton; brothers, William and Gerald Baugh; seven grandchildren, Bryleigh Renee Jeremiah, Joshua, Josiah, Jacob, Margie, Savannah; along with four great grandchildren, Dean, Cody, Ezra, and Adeline Mae, and a host of nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 12-5pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Chapel, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. There will be a graveside service held at a later date.
