Rebecca Gail “Becky” Bailey went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.  Rebecca was born in Edmonton, Kentucky, to the late Basil and Ruby (Wallace) James. She will be remembered most for her faithful devotion to her family. Rebecca cherished the moments they shared together and found great purpose and joy in caring for the needs of those she loved. Her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering love for her family were a beautiful reflection of the caring heart she carried throughout her life.

Becky’s greatest legacy will be the love she gave so freely to her family and the many lives she touched through her gentle, caring, and devoted spirit. She had a way of making the people she loved feel cared for and treasured, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Heavenly Father. They will lovingly remember her and look forward to the day they are reunited with her once again.

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Bailey, and her loving brother, Larry James.

She leaves behind a family who loved her dearly, including her sons, Mike Bailey (Cathy) and Chris Bailey (Patty); grandchildren: Paige Bailey, Cheyenne Henry (Bryce), and Brandon Bailey (Tiffany); great-grandchildren: Owen, Brysen, Brooklyn, Blaine, Liam, Aiden, and Carson; her sister, Sheila Snider (Charlie); her mother-in-law, Bertha Bailey; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Becky’s life was a testament to the beauty of a love freely given. Her family will carry her memory in their hearts, cherishing the countless moments they shared and the love she poured into each of their lives. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will remain forever.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Legacy Funeral Center: Scott Chapel (921 Main Street, Jeffersonville), officiated by Pastor Andy Bramer of One Community Church.  Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2026, and from 9 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
