Raymond L. Kidd, Sr., age 78, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on June 30, 1947, Raymond lived a life defined by hard work, dedication to his family, and a love for the simple pleasures that brought him joy. He spent many years working as a groundskeeper and security guard, taking great pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout his career.

Raymond enjoyed spending his free time watching Westerns, fishing whenever he had the chance, and bowling with friends in his bowling league at Mid City Mall. Above all else, he cherished his family. Known lovingly as "Pepaw," he shared a special bond with each of his grandchildren and took great pride in watching his family grow through the generations.

He is survived by his children, Cassie Kidd (Justin Stilger), Raymond Kidd II (Jennifer Lingross), Monica Gilmore, Catherine Lingross (Todd), and Jessica Lingross (Rowdy); his grandchildren, Kierra Stilger, Sebastian Stilger, Kristi Burton, Krissa Burton-Ingram (Ethan Ingram), Cierra Burton and David O’Rafferty; his great-grandchildren, Devon Ditto, Dagon Ingram, Zamire, Kaisyn Burton-Ingram, Jazzy Lingross and Elija; his siblings, Tina Terry and Alan Terry; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Kidd; his parents, Esther Alcorn and Vyrel Kidd; and several brothers and sisters.

Raymond's kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family he loved so dearly.

The family has chosen cremation. A private remembrance will be held at a later date.
