Randall “Randy” Byron Hutchings, 67, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him.
Born in Evansville, Indiana, Randy was the beloved son of the late Neil and Wilma Hutchings. From an early age, he had a natural artistic gift that went hand in hand with a very creative mind. The hallmark of his personal life was his heart. It was larger than anyone could ever imagine. Full of compassion, understanding and love. Love for his family and all people.
Randy spent many years in the jewelry business, eventually opening his own business, "Jewels & More." He was able to showcase his keen eye for beauty and detail and traveled the country sharing his charm and expertise with all his customers.
It wasn't until the late 1980's when he chose a different career path in sales. He spent nearly 2 decades at Bales Motor Company. A place where he advanced and settled down until retirement. In the 1990's while with Bales, he expanded his passion of helping others. He did this by serving his community as a elected member of the Clarksville School Board. His decisions were guided by his heart and a vision for a better future, that left an imprint on the lives of local families.
Randy's most treasured roles were that of Dad and even more so, a Pawpaw. He was the kind of Pawpaw that would do anything to make a moment with his grandchildren an unforgettable memory. Never hesitating to don a silly hat or make a goofy face. The love for his family was endless. All of the fun and crazy times shared with him will be passed on, full of laughter and love, for generations to come.
He is survived by his children Kelli Stackhouse and James (Rudy) Hutchings. Four Grandchildren: Victoria Hutchings (Seth), Kendall Stackhouse (Alex), Leo Hutchings and Teri Stackhouse . A loving ex-wife, Lisa Truman and siblings Wanda VanMeter, Shannon (Jim) Doyle, Richard (Julie) Hutchings, Aaron (Stevie) Hutchings. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street-Jeffersonville. Visitation hours for friends and family will be held at 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
