Peggy Joyce Jackson, age 75, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025. Born May 22, 1950, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she was the beloved daughter of the late Earl Parker and Dallas May Parker.
Peggy spent much of her professional life as a dedicated general manager at Chi-Chi’s and later at Dollar General stores. She was known for her strong work ethic and leadership, but her greatest passion in life was always her family. She poured her heart into caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
She found comfort and laughter in her favorite TV shows, especially The West Wing, Two and a Half Men, and ghost stories—despite being easily spooked. Peggy loved roses, bluebirds, and a good cold Pepsi. She had a soft spot for life's simple pleasures and a deep love for her grandbabies, who were the light of her life.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenny Parker; and her great-granddaughter, Lilly Jackson.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Traci Jackson, Darrick Jackson (Angela) and Dallas Kelly; her grandchildren, Joshua Jackson (Ash), Jeremy Jackson Thome (Briana), Joy Thome (Chris), Douglas Jackson, Dakota Hiser, and Joseph Hiser; and her great-grandchildren, Conner Jackson, Oliver Jackson-Underwood, Eliana Jackson, and Jasper Jackson-Underwood. She is also survived by her dear sister, Sharon Heil.
In accordance with Peggy’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation. Her life will be celebrated privately by those she held closest to her heart.
She will be deeply missed, remembered always for her devotion to her family, her warm smile, and the way she made everyone feel loved.
