Peggy Fleming, 88, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on August 20, 1936, in Frances, Kentucky, to the late John and Willabell Brasher.
Peggy was a devoted homemaker and caregiver, dedicating her life to her family with unwavering love and kindness. Known for her warm heart and nurturing spirit, she always put her family first. In addition to her role as a homemaker, Peggy had a passion for sports, and she was an avid fan of both the Cincinnati Reds and the University of Kentucky basketball team.
Earlier in life, Peggy enjoyed her work as a waitress at the Barley Damn Cafe, where she built friendships and shared her infectious smile with everyone she served.
Peggy will be remembered for her generosity, love of sports, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. Her legacy of love and devotion will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Buddy” Fleming. Peggy is survived by her son, Greg Fleming(Gail); sister, Dody Hook; grandchildren, Christina Fergusen(Robby), Eric Daly(Kathryn); along with great grandsons, Nick, Bennett, Sawyer.
There will be a visitation held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 12-4pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
