Pauline "Polly" Middleton

Pauline “Polly” Middleton, 93, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away at her home on May 3, 2023. She was born on February 4, 1930 in Logan County, Kentucky to the late James Alexander Knight and Ruby Liza (Williams) Knight. Polly retired from the Greater Clark County Schools System.  She was the Lead Baker at Parkview Middle School for many years.   The Staff and Students alike loved her pies and cakes.  After she retired, some of the Staff would request her to make pies for them.  She was Co-Founder along with Secretary of Operations at Full Gospel Mission Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Polly loved going to church and her church families, singing, playing the guitar, gardening, was a master cook and most of all a wonderful mother, homemaker & caregiver to her family.

In addition to her parents Polly was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Rev. Dennis Middleton, brothers; Easter Knight, William Knight, Liburn “Libby” Knight, sisters; Carolyn Appling and Marilyn Johnson.  She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Schreiner(Andy); sons, Terry Middleton(Becky), Gregory Charles Middleton; brothers, Thelbert Knight(Faye), Roger Knight; sisters, Jewell  McNeely, Rita Owen; along with 7 grandchildren, Yvette Middleton, Autumn Brown, Savannah Middleton, Madison Middleton, Kenneth “Ken” Schreiner II (Maria), Zachariah “Zack” Schreiner(Nina), Amy Jo McArthur; 13 great grandchildren, Levi McArthur, Riley McArthur, Robert Middleton, Daniel Grimes, Riyhlen Brown, McKenzi Middleton, Jacob Middleton, Jaxon Middleton, Aydelis Negron Schreiner, Jasmine Schreiner, Dorian Schreiner, Milayna Schreiner, Aiden Curtsinger; along with 2 great-great grandchildren, Hailey Middleton and Hannah Grimes.

There will be a visitation held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 3-8pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Service will be held on 12pm at Legacy Funeral Service on Monday, May 8, 2023 with more visitation from 10-12pm. Burial will follow at Eastern Cemetery.
