Orlando Eugene Sutton

Orlando Eugene Sutton, age 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on April 1, 2025. Born on January 5, 1965, in Louisville, Orlando was the beloved son of the late Johnny Sutton and Geneva Dickerson Sutton.

A dedicated and longtime employee in housekeeping at the KFC Yum! Center, Orlando took great pride in his work and was known for his kind spirit and warm smile. He was a faithful member of West Chestnut Street Baptist Church, where his quiet strength and presence were felt by all who knew him.

Orlando had a deep love for animals, especially his cherished dogs, Coffee and Lulu, who brought him daily joy and comfort. A true lover of nature, he enjoyed tending to his indoor and outdoor plants and found peace in the simple beauty of growing things. He also loved to cook and took great joy in sharing meals with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by loved ones who went before him. He is survived by his devoted son, Orlando Eugene Williams; grandchildren Damarius Williams, Daquirius Williams, and Ruby Williams; and his faithful dogs, Coffee and Lulu. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Legacy Schoppenhorst Chapel Funeral Home, 1832 West Market Street, Louisville, KY 40215. A funeral service in celebration of his life will begin at 2:00 p.m., with cremation to follow.

Orlando’s warmth, generosity, and quiet strength will be remembered always by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
