Naomi Mae Ashby passed away on Thursday June 18, 2026, at the age of 74. She was born in Louisville on August 25, 1951, to Charles and Florence Ashby.

Naomi was a lifelong lover of all things in nature. Her hobbies of photography, wreath making and bird watching/feeding were all inspired by this love. She was a collector. She had collections of collections, some of which included; vintage jewelry, antique vases, Columbian Art, vintage clothing and hats, and Harmony Kingdom boxes.

Naomi retired from University of Louisville Hospital as Benefits Manager.

She is survived by her husband John Armistead, her son Fred Baker and her siblings; Charlene Sondergeld (Johnny), Sue Carwile (Jim) and Charles Ashby Jr. (Melissa) as well as her nieces and nephew Jody, Tiffany and Jimmy and her great nieces and nephews Morgan, Rachel, Mitchell, Bella and Brooks. She is also survived by her fur baby Maisy who was her constant companion.

Naomi will always be remembered for being kind and generous. She was energetic, opinionated and outspoken. If she planned a trip you expected to stay active. She earned the title of “Itinerary Captain”.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM at:
