Nancy Carol Murphy , 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Louisville.
Nancy was born on June 9, 1947, in Sonora, Kentucky, to the late Paul Turner and Addy Hayes Turner. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose love for her family was the center of her life.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Wayne King; Keith David King (Tiandra); and Craig Montgomery King (Martha). She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: David Early, Alyssa King, Kaycee Foster, Kyah King, Kylie Hall, Walker King, Willow King, and Winter King. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Lilah King, Mark Jaggers III, Etta Mayes, Amira King, and a great-grandchild to be, Alijah King. She is also survived by her sister, Rita Miller; her brother, David Turner; and her beloved cat, Missy.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Cory King; her grandson, Cory King; and her brothers, Roy Turner, Jim Turner, and Mike Turner.
Nancy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved sitting at her kitchen table, working puzzles, drinking coffee, and listening to music. She had a special gift for sewing and took great pride in decorating her home, always adding warm and personal touches that made it welcoming to everyone who entered. Her home was a reflection of her loving and creative spirit.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2024 from 1 PM to 6 PM at Legacy Funeral Center - Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 West Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40203, and Tuesday, February 24, from 11 AM – 1 PM with the funeral service to follow at 1 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
Nancy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.
