Michelle Renee' Slaughter, 54, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her residence. She was born on November 8, 1966 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Patricia (Dixon) Slaughter and the late Larry Slaughter Sr. Michelle worked for Humana for 20 years as an insurance claim resolution representative. She was a dedicated worker, very intelligent and spent many years as a school teacher, holding a Masters degree in education. In her addition to her work at Humana, she was an entrepreneur and started her own business in Shelbyville, Kentucky called Fresh Pick Flowers. Michelle was a spiritual and very artistic person who was loved very much by her family and friends.
In addition to her father Larry Slaughter Sr., she was preceded in death by a sister, Shawn Slaughter and a nephew, Patrick Slaughter. Michelle is survived by her sons; Clayton Dimmitt (Beth), Tyler Dimmitt (Brooke), Ervin Brown (Whitney); daughter, Katie Breedon (Jacob); her mother, Patricia "Patty" Slaughter; sisters, Tonya Gettings (Donny), Clara Fox, Kelle Garrett; brother, Larry Slaughter; thirteen grandchildren, Aliyah, Landon, Lucas, Grace, Aria, Nora, Andrew, Taigin, Damion, Elizabeth, Alhana, Emma, Gabriella, along with thirteen nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 4-8pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 12pm with visitation before from 10-12 at Legacy Funeral Center.
