Michael Darrel Wermuth

Michael Darrel Wermuth, 64, passed away on November 12, 2023. He was born on February 8, 1959 in
Louisville, KY, to the late Alice “Bea” Zemina (Hutchens) and Gilbert Wermuth. He was on the
Jeffersonville High School track team, was a scout leader for Boy Scout Troop 1 of Jeffersonville, IN, and
retired after many years selling car parts at Byerly Ford in Shively, KY. He also enjoyed fishing and was a
fan of the Indiana Hoosiers, as well as the New York Jets since he was 10. He will be missed as a father,
husband, brother, uncle, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice “Bea” Zemina, his stepfather, Ross Zemina, and his
brother in law, Gerald Dennis. Survivors include his wife, Kim Wermuth, his sons, Michael and Joseph
(Elizabeth), his sisters, Cora and Eva (Mike), his grandchildren Catharine, Marie, and Emma, and many
nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his pets, dogs Levee, Elle, Boston, Bo, and Peyton.

There will be a visitation held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 4-7pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Burial will be on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11am at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
