Michael Dennis Lanham, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on January 9, 2026, in his hometown. He was born on April 3, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Harry Raymond Lanham and Catherine Proctor Lanham.

Michael is survived by his son, Stephen Lanham, and his grandson, Elijah Lanham. He is also survived by his sister, Cathy Hitchcock (Jerry); his brother, Ronnie Lanham (Donna); several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Kevin Earl, along with Kevin’s daughter, who held a special place in his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, MaryAnn Lanham; and his cherished pets, Bear and Alice.

Michael enjoyed University of Louisville Cardinals football and basketball, NASCAR, and playing cards. He also had a great love of horses and the excitement of the Kentucky Derby.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with the funeral service at 2:00 PM, at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, located at 4327 Taylor Boulevard, Louisville, Kentucky 40215.

Michael will be remembered by those who knew him and will be deeply missed.
