Obituary
Michael Paul Jones Sr., 71, of Charlestown, Indiana passed away on August 29, 2023. He was born on June 11, 1952 in Streator, Illinois , son of Roland and Doris (Henderson) Jones. Mike was a police officer in Florida for a few years and then retired from carpenter work after many years of dedicated service. He attended Christ Gospel Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana and he enjoyed his family, his pets; Misty & Rocky, and loved his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Jones; sister, Charlene Dyer. He is survived a daughter, Elisabeth Huddleson (David); son, Michael Jone II (Satoke); sister Julie Witherington; along with 4 grandchildren, Kaitlin, Hunter, Noah, Colten and 2 great grandchildren, Avery and Sebastian.
There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 4-8pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Funeral will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11am with more visitation before from 9-11am. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
