Michael Kenneth Griffith, age 65, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Mike was the beloved son of Louise and the late Jack Kenneth Griffith.
Though raised in a house full of University of Kentucky fans, including his mom, dad, and sister, Mike proudly stood his ground as a lifelong Indiana University supporter. His passion for sports ran deep, extending to a steadfast love for the Cincinnati Reds and years spent coaching Little League baseball. Whether on the ball field, by the water with a fishing pole in hand, or cheering on his favorite teams, Mike found joy in the simple, enduring things.
But nothing brought him more happiness than the time he spent with his son, Clay. Their bond was the center of Mike’s world, and his legacy will live on through Clay and the memories they made together.
Mike is survived by his mother, Louise Carrier (Robert); his cherished son, Clay Griffith; siblings, Janet Griffith, Jason Griffith (Diana), Natalie Dasinger (Jeff), Robert Carrier, Brian Carrier (Renetta), and Pam Brown (Mike); along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street - Jeffersonville, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
