Melissa Louise Watson, 71, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed on to her heavenly home on June 26, 2024. She was born on May 25, 1953, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, daughter of Thomas and Angelina (Bruno) Watson.
Melissa was a beloved retired preschool teacher of Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, known for her gentle spirit and dedication to children throughout her career. She also had a passion for watching sports and cherished her visits to Hallmark stores.
Melissa was a faithful and active member of Rise Church in Indianapolis, Indiana and her love for Jesus was evident in every aspect of her life. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
Melissa is survived by her sisters, Fran Watson and Brenda Watson, her brother, James Watson, and wife Maryanne, along with nieces and nephews, Thomas Watson (Sarah), Maryanne Martin (Aven), Jonathan Hardy, Jacob Hardy (Katiana) and 5 great nephews, Knox, Boone, Nash, Kane, Alfonso, and one on the way, Tate.
There will be a Graveside Service held on June 28, 2024, at 1pm, located at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, 2421 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
