Matthew Johnson, 32, passed away on July 14, 2024, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Born on July 2, 1992, to Dennis Hoover and Hilda Johnson, Matthew brought joy and laughter to everyone around him with his great sense of humor. Known for his ability to make people laugh, he was a cherished member of his family and a beloved friend.
Matthew's love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. Affectionately known as a "momma's boy," he deeply cherished his time with his mother, Hilda. He also had a special bond with his brother, Jamie Jenks, with whom he enjoyed memorable trips to Florida. Matthew was the life of the party, always eager to be the center of attention and spread joy to those around him.
A man of many interests, Matthew had a "fat boy appetite" he loved to joke about, and his passion for food was well-known among his friends and family. He found joy in creating rap music, spending time with his faithful companion, Tinker, and dressing stylishly. Matthew even dreamed of starting his own clothing line one day. Matthew's generous spirit and willingness to help others made him a treasured friend. Matthew's vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless love for his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Hilda Johnson; father, Dennis Hoover; brothers, Jamie Jenks, Jeremy Johnson, and Brandon Johnson; sister, Brittany Flaherty (Brian); uncle, Darrell Martin; and cousins, Angela Baugh, Gary Baugh, and Jessica Martin.
