Master Christian Douglas Gooch

Master Christian Douglas Gooch, the son of the late, Janette Gooch and Wayne Douglas Whittaker was born on April 14, 1969, in Hartsville, Tennessee.  He departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 3, 2020, in Louisville, KY. 

Christian was educated in Trousdale County, Tennessee school system and followed his passion for football.  He graduated in 1987 and attended Tennessee State University for a short time.  Christian acknowledged, believed and confessed God Jehovah as his personal Lord and Savior. In his early years he was a member of Gravel Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Bethpage, Tennessee.  

Christian was so affectionately known as “Gooch” and he had a smile and personality that was contagious.  People were drawn to his loving spirit. He loved his family and friends; he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ember Elizabeth Gooch.

Christian leaves to cherish his memories to his loving and devoted wife, Tabatha J. Gooch; children, Chelsea Renee Gooch, Jade Alexandria Gooch, Brooklyn Alyssa Gooch, Master Dakota Christian Gooch, Khirstyn Louise Gooch, Madison Paige Gooch, Taylor Cheyenne Gooch and twins, Simone and Sterling; granddaughter, Skylar Jean Black; first cousin, Harold Stewart, who was like a brother to Christian and a host of other relatives and friends.

Christian, I will always love you, because I don’t know how not to and you will be forever in my heart.
