Mary Ann (Tedder) Talbott, eighty-two years old of Jeffersonville, Indiana formerly of Madison, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born December 6, 1942 in Adair County Kentucky to Silas A. Tedder and Nettie E. (Hamm) Tedder. She completed her high school education at Taylor County High School. She graduated nursing school from Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Nursing followed by completion of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ball State University. Mary Ann’s career spanned over forty-years in several different specialties. The majority of her career was spent as an Intensive Care Nurse providing excellent care for both patients and families as if they were her own. Alongside an illustrious career in the ICU, she obtained her Critical Care Nursing Accreditation also known as CCRN. She was then given the opportunity to teach nurses in several southern Indiana hospitals. She lived a life of faith and service to her family, church, and profession.
She is survived by her two sons, Jonathan E. Talbott and his wife Kathryn of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Timothy R. Talbott and his wife Michele Kawood of Fredericksburg, Virginia, granddaughter Elizabeth Talbott, grandson Tate Talbott, brother Roy (Laurene) Tedder, brother-in-law Herman Seaborne, sisters-in-law Janet Tedder, Beverly Tedder, Tina (John) McWilliams, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Lionel A. Talbott, parents Silas A. and Nettie E. Tedder, sisters Elma Rouse, Bertha Forrest, Celestine Redmon, Dorothy Seaborne, Betty Kilby, Nora Jewel, Nannie Knifely, and brothers Troy Tedder and Jesse Tedder.
A visitation will be held at Eastside Christian Church, 2319 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130 on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from nine o’clock am until noon followed by a celebration of life ceremony at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eastside Christian Church or Battle of New Market Heights Memorial and Education Association.
