Mary M. (Martin) Evans

Mary “Blondie” “Liz” M.(Martin) Evans , 74, passed away on April 4, 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born to the late Jesse M. Martin and Rachel Patton in Organ Cave, West Virginia.

Mary was a sports fan; when she wasn’t cheering on her UofL Cardinals, she was settling in to watch some NASCAR. She loved her family dearly, but was especially proud to be a Nana to all of her wonderful grandchildren. Mary adored them endlessly. As a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 379 in Elizabeth Indiana, Mary was a lady who wanted to stay up to date on everything happening around her and got a little help from her favorite news caster, Tucker Carlson. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary “GW” Evans.

Left to cherish her memory, Mary leaves behind her two sons, Brian Evans (Chrissy) and Jeffrey Whitaker (Michele); her two daughters, Michelle Constantine (Matt Sr.) and Terri Bradley (Jon); her sister, Ann Thorpe; her two brothers, Rick Martin (Carol) and Eric Martin, her eleven grandchildren, and a host of extended friends and family.

A funeral service for Mrs. Mary “Blondie” “Liz” M. Evans will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Boulevard Louisville KY 40215. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again before the funeral service from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
