Marlana Leitner

Marlana Leitner, 49, of Jeffersonville, Indiana departed for heaven on September 11, 2021. She was born on July 1, 1972 in Westland, Michigan as blessing to her mother the late Carolyn “Jeaneanne” (Hufford) McKee and her father Carl Bert McKee. Marlana was selfless, kind, and strong.  She was a daughter, mother, and most recently a warrior.  Marlana was a role model and an inspiration to her two children, and shared with them her love for going to the beach, trips to Disney World, and listening to music.  She enjoyed caring for her family and loved hosting and cooking for gatherings. 

Marlana was always a dedicated hard worker.  First at CST for over a decade, before she would go on to be an Administrative Assistant for Parkview Middle School in Jeffersonville, Indiana for fourteen years. 

In addition to her mother, Marlana was preceded in death by her brother, Michael McKee (Stacy). She is survived by her daughter, Regan Leitner; son Chase Leitner; brother, Mark McKee (Ruth); father, Carl McKee; aunt, Joann Moody (Harold); along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.

The Family asked that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation.
