Mark Small was born on May 4, 1973 in Augusta, GA, to his parents Jannie Mae Kelly Dunn and the late Oliver Hobbs.

Mark Hobbs Small entered rest on Sunday, May 12, 2024. He was educated by the Richmond County school system. Mark left for Job Corp in 1992. After completing Job Corp in 1994 Mark made Sellersburg, Indiana his home. He was employed by Amatrol as a metal fabricator until his death.

Mark married the love of his life Benita Lynn Ford in August, 1997. Preceding him in death was his wife Benita of 20 years, his father Oliver Hobbs, two sisters Sandra M. Small -Mincey, Precious Annis Jackson, Mother -In law Elaine Outlaw and beloved great nephew Qua’Vonne Robert Small.

Mark leaves many loving memories: His four children Nikita Small of Augusta, GA, Mark William Small, Ma’Lonnie Harmony Small and Maleya Amia Small of Sellersburg, Indiana; his mother Jannie Mae Dunn Augusta, Georgia; two Grandchildren Charity and Alexander Small and also siblings: Sheila (Alfred) Johnson, Jeanette Small-Hall, Mary Small (Bruce) Williams and Charles (Matkah) Small, all of Augusta GA, loving and caring brother in law Marshall Mincey of Augusta GA and a host of nieces and nephews, Aunts and cousins.

Visitation will be at Legacy Funeral Home, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, IN on Friday, May 17 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a memorial service at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Louisville Cemetery Association. A Celebration of Life will take place at Augusta, GA at a later date.
